CORSETS, HOW TO MEASURE

1.Under arm (where sleeve hole starts) to waist.
2.Center of chest to navel.
3.Mid-bust to waist.
4.Chest (push bust up & in, pulling tightly with tape) measure completely around to mid-back.
5.Across mid-waist, from side seam to side seam.
6.Waist, from side seam to side seam.
7.Nape of neck to 3" below waist.
8.Shoulder seam down to waist.
9.Width of shoulder seam.
10.Across mid-back from side seam to side seam.
11.Across lower back from side seam to side seam.

WOMEN?S GARMENT MEASUREMENTS

1.Across upper chest, from shoulder seam to shoulder seam.
2.A. Measure across bust, side seam to side seam.
B. Measure completely around bust.
3.Measure mid abdomen, side seam to side seam.
4.Measure waist side to side.
5.Measure upper back, armhole to armhole.
6.Measure mid back, side seam to side seam.
7.Measure lower back, side seam to side seam.
8.Measure mid bust to waist. If jacket is to be cut up higher, measure from your preference point to the waist.
9.Measure from top of shoulder to elbow.
10.Measure from bent elbow to wrist.
11.Measure from base of neck to waist.
12.Measure from the side of the neck across the top of the shoulder to the seam.
13.Measure under the arm, where arm hole starts, to the waist.
14.Measure around fullest part of upper arm.
15.Measure from waist to mid calf or ankle depending on preference of petticoat length.
16.Measure from waist to hip level for short gown or jacket.
